I didn't want to make this into one large quilt, so I made each block separate, which does make them look more like a packet of seeds. I used batik fabrics, mostly scraps, and then added the batik border around each quilt. I machine blanket stitched and then did hand embroidery for the lettering and other things like stems, tendrils, etc.
Each quilt measures approximately 14" wide x 18" high.
I made corner triangles on the back of all of these little quilts so they can be hung with a dowel inserted into the corner triangles. |
Carrots come in more than just orange. Carrots are also white, yellow, purple and red. I didn't make my bunch in all those colors, but mostly in various shades of orange and one yellow. |
I love the look of Crookneck Squash because it's interesting. Tastes good too! |
I am not sure what I will do with all 9 of these because I don't have room to hang them all unless I hang them up high on the wall above my dining space and kitchen, which is a short wall in height coming down from the ceiling. I will see if Mr. P wants to climb up and hang them there.
I loved making these! Thanks Suzy for your wonderful patterns!
