Oh my goodness I am speechless. I got up this morning and got on the computer and my inbox was full from so many comments made to me about my blog, my creations, etc. that I could hardly believe it. Then I went to my blog and saw all the comments left there by so many bloggers that I don't know when I'll be able to get around to answering some of you and visiting your blogs too. I wanted to take this time and thank all of you who took the time to stop by and see my blog, thank all of you who took the time to post a comment, thank you for those who have signed up to follow my blog, I really appreciate you all. I would love to stop by all of your blogs too, but that may take some time going through all the comments that I received and finding your blogs, but I will eventually get there though.
I want to especially thank Karen of Sew Many Ways for posting my comment on her blog. Who knew what a response I would receive from just one posting? Wow. I'm still amazed by this. Thanks Karen. And I learned how to make your blog link clickable from your tutorial, so thank you for that as well. To think I only found Karen's blog a few days ago myself then all of this happened.
Okay, I better get back to reading more wonderful comments that are still coming in. THANK YOU EVERYONE.
**Just a little update after reading all the comments so far...
I changed to this font for those who mentioned that they read from iPhones and the other font was harder to read. Hope this one is easier to read? Let me know as I am rather iPhone/iPad ignorant as I do not have one so I really don't know anything about them.
Second, I took off the word verification as others mentioned how annoying it is and I agree with that from having to type in those distorted words on other sites and rarely getting it right the first time. When I started this blog I didn't have any resistrictions on my comments and ended up with tons of SPAM comments and most in some Asian language. Removing the SPAM comments seemed to take about 3 steps to get rid of it completely. So that's when I went to moderating my comments, and maybe that was another reason for not having comments? Next I tried the word verification to avoid the SPAM, but skipped the moderation. So now I decided remove the word verification as well.
I am glad for the comments about the font, and word verification and have fixed those. Next I will work on adding tabs and catagories and ways to search as one commenter mentioned to me. All very good things to have. I will need some time to work on making those changes, but I will be adding those things slowly but surely. Thanks again for the comments and help. I really appreciate you as followers and I will try to keep you coming back again by making it easier for you.

Thank you so much for your comment. I appreciate every one. If you do not hear a reply back from me, it could be that you are a no-reply, or that Google/Blogger has changed something (again!) making it impossible to respond back to you. If you want a reply because you asked a question, please fill out the Contact Form located on the right side of the blog and I will respond to you that way. Thank you for stopping by! I was forced to add comment moderation due to huge number of SPAM!

Adding you to my lost to follow. Thanks to Sew Many Ways!

ReplyDeleteIt's often chance comments from other bloggers and references that we find new blogs. Many of those that I now read regularly came from a mention on another blog or a chance visit. Some of them are now good internet friends.
ReplyDeleteI can "sew"relate to your frustrations concerning blogging. I have not added to mine in a bit because 5 followers seems so silly.....
ReplyDeleteI love your blog and will follow YOU!
Sew happy for you! Comments & followers keep us inspired to blog!!!
ReplyDeleteFollowing you now. I've never come across your blog before. I like to follow blogs that do quilting or sewing.
ReplyDeleteI can really relate to your comment on Sew Many Ways. I also thought about quitting my blog. I have a few faithful followers, and some that still check on me as my blog was started by my daughter when I had tongue cancer surgery.
I'm going to look at your quilts!
I'm glad you chose to stick with it!Your projects are super cute! I just started to learn to quilt and looking at blogs is so inspirational.
ReplyDeleteI found Sew Many Ways just this week and now thanks to Karen and your comments I have found you too. Excited to be following you both now. Don't lose heart. You have something worthwhile to say. . .and those who want to listen.

ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day!
It is amazing! So glad to have discovered you (thank you Karen!) I think the key really is one click away :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm now following you - I'm a new blogger so like you, a "few" followers is sometimes quite a bummer. I think I do it mainly for me, but you never know if something you says will help someone.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your letter to Karen @ Sew Many Ways - she also helped me to encourage me to start my blog - isn't she WONDERFUL.
I don't quilt, but you are welcome to look me up @ http://underthecraftzone.blogspot.com/
What a talented person you are. Carry on the great work.
ReplyDeleteI read your note as well, sorry for your pain. Anyway, I am guilty of reading many blogs and commenting on few. Will try to amend that behaviour. M
ReplyDeleteHey girl! You're about to hit 100 followers! Woohoo!
ReplyDeleteSo I guess my hint to get followers by following other blogs isn't something you need to hear now! Ha!
I really like your quilts, and that red floor in your sewing room is awesome!
I am so happy Sew Many Ways posted your comment. You do everything that I would love to do. I'm in the process of working on an Amish quilt I started 25 years ago! I love to see quilts & your craft room gives me a great idea. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteHow very fun to find your blog. And you are so right, comments keep us blogging. I don't get a lot of comments on my blog, even though it looks like I have a lot of followers. So I too don't know what inspires someone to leave a comment. But I hope you will pop over and visit me too :-)
ReplyDeleteI like comments too.... and I have no followers ....
ReplyDeleteSo glad to find your blog via Sew Many Ways. I am a native New Mexican now living in in New Jersey. I am very glad to connect with a person who lives in NM. I grew up in ABQ and miss the SW very much. It is beautiful to live on a little barrier island in NJ now, but I do miss NM. I subscribed to your blog and I look forward to seeing what you are up to! Thanks for being willing to share your talents and ideas with the rest of us out here in blog world! It has been great to me to be able to read blogs since I now live in such a different place and don't have the lifetime friendships out here that I had in NM!
ReplyDeleteI understand how you feel! I think the right attitude for blogging is to do it for yourself and the rest comes later! I'm a relative newbie, but completely understand how you feel! You are very talented and should be very proud of the blog you have.

Hi,
ReplyDeleteI cam just blown away by your output! Such lovely work, too. I do work that is somewhat different from yours, but I always learn new things from looking at others' blogs. I have a website, if you care to take a gander - or if anyone else wants to see. I have also tried to start up a blog, but it hasn't really gone anywhere yet. Maybe I will try to re-start it, though. Good luck with your work, and don't stop blogging! You have a lot to share! www.foundfibers.com
I am guilty. Guilty of being a lurker. I rarely leave comments but after reading your comments and reading some of your blog I shall change my ways! You are talented and deserve a large following.
ReplyDeleteWhat one comment can trigger....
ReplyDeleteI know all about your frustrations concerning blogging, I've got the same feelings.
You don't need to worry any more that your posts never will be read, isn't that great?!
Enjoy all your 'fans' and post away!! I will follow you too!
Bianca
Glad you connected thru Sew Many Ways, I'm always looking for new blogs to read and get ideas...and as a newbie it's overwhelming to figure out how to find blogs and navigate the whole scene. So I'm glad I found yours to follow for more creative inspiration! Now I just need to find the time to actually do the crafts!!!
ReplyDeleteHello - I've added myself to your followers and will continue to visit your blog. The words you wrote to Karen mimic my own blogging experience. But in the end, I decided that I like to blog. I write blog posts in my head all the time. They don't always get to the computer, I realize from that - the blogging is for me. I'm glad you found peace with your blogging. But hopefully a few more visitors might make it a bit more fun!
ReplyDeleteO, see, we didn't KNOW about you!! You have so much to share and we will all soak it up.
ReplyDeleteI admire all the skills you have and your willingness to share your work with us.
Don't worry about commenting back and visiting OUR blogs. We will love the visit when you have the time.
xx, Carol
Waving "hello" to a new to me friend. =)
ReplyDeleteI appreciated everything you said in your email to Karen, about how depressing it can be when no one comments. I know I have at least 80 readers a day, but where are these people!? In any case, you've now topped me in the number of comments you've gotten, and now I'M feeling depressed. (grin) I hope you feel much better! LOL
ReplyDeleteI am you're newest follower, or at least I was 10 minutes ago. You have a lovely blog, and isn't Karen great.
ReplyDeleteWhen you get caught up stop by and visit me at Selinaquilts.blogspot.com
have a great day.
Hi Daryl, I am one of the people who found you via Karen from "Sew Many Ways" and very glad to have done so. I love the things you've made and refered to them in a blog post. I hope you don't mind.
ReplyDeleteGood luck and CU soon in blogland ;-)
I was also inspired to continue with our blog after I read what you had written on Sew Many Ways. We do not have a website so we do use our web blog to sell from also, hopefully. I try to mix it up a bit and sometimes that can be difficult. Thanks for your healthy suggestions. Keep up the good work. Always, Debbie, wife of The WoodArt Studio artist Steve. www.woodartstudio.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteFollowing you now ... I'm another person with so much to do on my own blog ... I need a header, need to clean it up, need to get a better focus ...
ReplyDelete... meanwhile, i just plug along.
Your quilts and other crafts are amazing !!! I used to weave baskets also.

It was so nice of Karen to introduce us to you! You have a great blog with so many great ideas. Like you I only receive comment from a few friends and seems no one really knows about me....I have five blogs, which are as you said for ME, but I'd love to share too. Stop by my knitting blog and from there maybe my cooking blog Nonna Rose's Kitchen for a visit some time.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous quilts! I'm so glad I stopped by your blog! I'm a knitter and enjoyed seeing your knitting creations. I'll be back!
ReplyDeleteYour blog is wonderful! I'm just sad I didn't stumble upon it before now. Thanks to Karen I'm enjoying your creativity.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind the word verification. If it helps you have less spam then don't hesitate to use it. We serious readers won't care. ;)
Hi Daryl - I came from Karen's Sew Many Ways too! So glad she mentioned you. I always love to find new blogs to read!
ReplyDeleteWow!! I am so glad I found you!! It is a wonderful blog and I am here to stay!! YES!!!!

Glad to have found you thru Sew Many Ways! It's fun to read about others who love to quilt and express their creativity. :) I have a small group of followers too, but a couple of the readers are very willing to leave encouraging comments.

ReplyDeleteI came over from "Sew Many Ways" and I am now a follower! I have a very on/off blog, but would love to have you visit! http://sewn-seabees-crafty-and-vintage-musin.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogging
I found it took a good while to start get comments and followers, even now I don't always get comments and I haven't had any new followers for a while. Sounds like I'm whinging, I'm not but it seems to me blogging can be a funny beast at times
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that I found your blog. I have made the best friends through blogs that I read. Thanks for sharing your comments and feelings.
ReplyDeleteYou've probably already heard everything I have to say...but that never stopped me before. :) First you are extremely talented and have done some beautiful things - I loved scrolling back through your blog looking at each one. Second, most of the people who follow me are people I followed first. I read hundreds of blogs and commented on each one as I read. I was looking for the ones who had the same interests as me - quilting, embroidery, wool applique, and faith based issues. Those are the ones I stayed with. Now my followers change frequently in number...I drop a few, then add a few; but truth be told not all those who "follow" actually read! Most follow for the times I give something away. That's okay with me because I have a few loyal followers/friends that I have come to love and cherish. I bet that will happen with you as well. blessings, marlene
ReplyDeleteYour blog is new to me and very nice. Like many others I came thanks to Sew Many Ways. I sometimes wonder if I follow too many blogs some days but I learn so much and begine to feel part of their lives. I expect the same will happen with your blog.
ReplyDeleteYour blog is wonderful. I found you through Karen at Sew Many Ways and bookmarked it. I will be back! www.quiltinglinda.com
ReplyDeleteI am a new follower, I have been looking for blogs of quilters, sewers. I am glad that I found you! I too have struggled with the comment, or lack there of, and followers. I have been linking up at some link parties, but that can be very time consuming... I love your work, thanks for sharing your heart with Karen!
ReplyDeleteCindy
I do not blog but I do follow sew many ways. I found it by accident trying to find help with sewing mainly quilting. I am a Grandma but I never learned to sew. Your quilts are beautiful & my favorite is the crazy scrappy one that your husband likes. On a personal note my Mother passed away a year ago she lived with me & I cared for her for 22 years. Three months later we found out through a routine checkup that my husband has leukemia. Right now he is doing well thank God & we will celebrate our 40th anniversary. I have found that sewing is soothing & keeps my mind from freezing up with worry. Reading these blogs helps immensely when I am not able to sew & we are at MD Anderson. You see there are a lot of lurkers that you & the other wonderful bloggers have no idea how much you help others in ways you aren't aware of. I don't usually comment either & I realize this is the least we readers should do is to give positive feedback so well deserved. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteLoved all of your projects. I love crafting of everykind. I have never made a quilt, but think they are absolutely beautiful.I have felt the same way you do at times about my blog too. Good luck getting all your comments read hehe. I am becoming a follower.

Found you on Sew Many ways and must say I have to agree with you. I have been a lurker for awhile now and realize that I should get back to comments...to make a friend you must first be one...guess I'd best listen to that. Am also amazed by your wonderful work...you are very talented.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad to see you have gotten some bloggy love and traffic from Karen's post. Your quilts are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAndrea
Ok...now your only problem is that it takes 10 years to get down to the end of the list of other peoples comments just to make my own! lol I'm "sew" just kidding, that is an awesome problem to have! I don't sew but I really enjoyed looking at your creations!
ReplyDeleteAdding you to my list too! I just found you thru' Karen at Sew Many Ways too!
ReplyDeleteI use the larger type too!
Have a wonderful day!
AYYYY me mataste, con tu comentario.Yo no tengo blog.Pocas veces dejo algún comentario en los blog que sigo y desde luego voy a mirar tu mundo.Cariños.
ReplyDeleteHi, I agree with Miss 376! It's mostly luck that brings me to a blog. I don't blog....well, I have a blog, but I feel odd about it. I was never one to keep a diary (except for a spell when I was a senion in H.S.) and I can't journal. I just feel silly doing it, but I'm a darn good blog reader and flog follower! I love Sew Many Ways, and I'm so glad she introduced me to you. I'm going to go right now and become a follower. Keep up the good work, you are a very talented lady.
ReplyDeletexo Linda
Hi--I know how you feel about no comments as it happens to me too. I never thought it would be this hard to get followers. But I just keep trying to add good content and hopefully maybe some day it will be popular too. I don't know how some of these ladies do it. I don't have social media skills to Twitter and all that jazz.
ReplyDeleteI have been blogging for several years, and you got more followers in one day than I have over the lifetime of my blog, lol.
ReplyDeleteGoodmorning Sunshine:
ReplyDeleteI found your blog from SewManyWays, that's how I follow people by others suggestions. I am sooooooo happy she sent me this way your quilts are awesome. Thanks for sharing with us and not giving up, and waiting for us to find you

I just read your comment on Sew Many Ways and I could have written it myself. I've just recently started to get a few more followers and it does seem to cheer me on so I bet you're ecstatic right about now. ;o)
ReplyDeleteBTW... thanks for removing that annoying verification thing!! That alone has stopped me from commenting sometimes.
Hi Daryl! This happened to me too... with Donna from Funky Junk Interiors! It's a great feeling, isn't it? I felt like royalty, even if it was only for a moment! Welcome to the neighborhood!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Daryl
ReplyDeleteLike many who have left comments I too found you through Sew Many Ways and glad I did. I sympathize with your comment on Karen's blog, there's nothing nicer than opening up your blog and seeing some comments. I'm going to leave this comment for you and then join up as a follower. So looking forward to your posts.
