I made this blouse last month. I only had a yard of the turquoise print fabric and I needed more than that, so I used the pink check for the peplum and the collar and tie. It came out really cute, at least on the hanger, not so much on me. I guess the style and maybe the print just isn't quite me. I'd be happy to sell. If interested e-mail me. |

Hi,
ReplyDeleteI'm another that found your blog and I like what you do. Your sewing table is kinda like the one my son made me only I needed 2 spots for machines. I'm really interested in the floor. Is it concrete? I'll put you in my favorites and visit from time to time.

Hi Daryl,
ReplyDeleteyour blog is in my bloglist, so I can see whats new.
I like your blouse, beautiful fabrics.
Hi Daryl - that blouse is really pretty! I stopped making clothes for myself because they never seemed to fit me properly or look good on me at all! I hated putting in all the time and effort only to have the piece of clothing go to the back of my closet never to be seen again!
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteI am new to your blog, thank you karen. I go to google and search for new blogs, and surprised I did not come across yours.
I do like your skirt fabric. very pretty.
Will be checking to see your updates...karencg
I have found that a lot of the prints I love to use in quilts just don't appeal to me when I use them for clothing. I made a cute blouse with a tiny ruffle at the bottom and sleeves, in a beautiful floral and just felt like a circus clown when I wore it! I think my clothing choices are much more conservative than my quilting choices are generally.
ReplyDeleteWow, those are both so pretty. I like your choices of fabrics.
ReplyDeleteLove the blouse you made. Beautiful. Glad I found you. :) Happy Sewing!
ReplyDeleteWhen I was young I made most of my clothes. Stopped making them when I ran into the problem you have with your blouse. Too much work and time followed by disapointment in fit or fabric choice. I always like my quilts.
ReplyDeleteHi again! I had more time to look around your blog tonight, and I have to say I have serious sewing table envy. It is perfect. :) Your quilts are a work of art.
ReplyDeleteJust ran across your blog! I am trying to find the time to sew more too. Love your blouse and skirt.
ReplyDeleteI'm very impressed with the skirt. It looks like the border pattern matches perfectly at the front!
ReplyDeleteCute skirt! I love to find things to make myself but I procrastinate really well...
ReplyDeleteYou have a wonderful blog and I really like the projects you do. I am a quilter too, and just love the quilts you have made. I'll be back often o see what you are creating!

I love that skirt, works really well with the fabric
ReplyDeleteI used to sew clothes all the time but have gotten away from it. I seem to live in jeans and t-shirts now. I really actually LOVE that skirt, though.
ReplyDeleteI don't know - maybe you should reconsider selling the blouse. On my screen, it seems it would go very well with the skirt.

Hey Daryl ~ I too found you from Karen ... and I just LOVE your quilts! Your creativity is wonderful, and I LOVE the stack in whack... and that's so funny! I woke up about 3:40 this morning dreaming about stack in whack... had it all planned out in my dreams and cut and everything! I LOVE dreaming quilts!
ReplyDeleteI am late to this discovery party, but glad to be here! I have always sewn, but lately have turned to quilting... Why did I wait so long?
ReplyDeleteGlad that "Sew Many Ways" featured you! ~ Lynda
