I made several coiled fabric bowls for selling at the local gift shop. Some of these have already sold.

They are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI don't know what it is specifically about these (not just in this post, but when you make these in general), but I absolutely love them.
ReplyDeleteVery nice bowls, Daryl. The colors are so pretty. It's nice you have a local gift shop that you can sell some of your items through.
ReplyDeleteOh those are pretty, Daryl - I especially like the bright coloured one (#3) :)
ReplyDeleteI love these bowls. I'm too lazy to fabric wrap the entire clothes line so I just put 4 inch strips here and there. Super fun to make.
ReplyDeleteAlways love your coiled bowls, Daryl, particularly since I can see the work that goes into making the rope part. Coincidentally enough, I was at Dollarama yesterday and noticed that they now sell coiled rope bowls there (since they now carry items with higher price points; they were $4). They reminded me of your work, only yours are definitely more colourful and unique in that sense. Good that you're managing to do some selling on the side!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Your post reminded me how much I used to enjoy making these bowls... haven't made one for a while.
ReplyDeletegreat job, these bowls are so versatile you can put anything in them from keys to muffins. your colors are so festive you did a great job.
