Kumihimo (Japanese Braid) Necklaces

I have been on a roll making these braided necklaces. I am enjoying combining different colors together and seeing how they look. I kept a couple for myself to wear too. I have several more that need to be finished too. I hope to sell most of them.

This one I kept to wear.

I kept this one to wear for myself too.

  1. I've been kumihimoing recently too! I must post about it... I like the textured ones, is that some kind of ribbon? I've been experimenting with using 4 warps of C-lon (thin beading cord) and 4 of 2mm rattail, it creates a very interesting spiral. Love your necklaces, some great colours there.

  2. great job, I love kumihimo. was it hard getting the ends into the clasps, it looks really clean so you did an excellent job. I love the jewelry you added. I hope you can sell them. Great choice of colors.

  7. Wow! These are strikingly beautiful. I love how you have put the details into the Kumihomo braiding and then featured one simple glass pendant. Well done Daryl. Creative Kumihomo Bliss...
