Batik Purse

This is my latest creation, a batik purse. I used several batiks that I sewed together to create this purse. I added 2 buttons stacked on top of each other, but the top button was a button with a shank, which ended up falling off as it didn't really sit right. So I sewed a small round yellow button on top of the purple flower button instead and that worked much better as it wasn't a shank. I added 2 double pockets to the lining. It's a great size purse. My favorite so far! Pin It Now!

Wool Felted Balls

I felted a half a pound of wool for an upcoming project that I will be doing in the fall. My arms were sore after felting nearly 100 balls by hand. Then I dyed half the balls yellow and half orange. My husband said they looked like melon balls and looked good enough to eat.

Teapot Quilt and Shopping Bag

I made this little quilt as a prize for my quilt guild's Spring Tea Party in May. I added some fortune cookie sayings on the quilt too. The teapot is stenciled.

I made this fabric shopping bag from a Simplicity pattern. It is modeled after a plastic shopping bag. The bag is lined as well. It may cost more to make than those cheap $1.00-$1.99 that all the stores are all selling now, but it looks better, will last longer & I made it! I was going to use this fabric to make an apron, but I didn't have enough of the fabric for an apron, so I decided make this bag instead. Pin It Now!

Knit Socks and Sweater

Socks photographed indoors with a flash. The colors are true here, but the socks below look blue without a flash.
Sweater I made for my grandson. I knit it in a large size and it will probably be a couple of years before it fits him. It has a kangaroo pocket in the front. I photographed without using a flash and the colors are more blue. The yarn colors really were turquoise, navy, and lime green.
