Quilted I-Pod Touch Case

I made my daughter a quilted case for her I-pod Touch. I don't own an I-pod, an I-Pad, an I-Phone or an I-I-I anything, so I went online to find what the I-Pod Touch measurements were and then came up with the size case I needed to make. I used scraps from my batik scrap bag mostly. She came over yesterday and I took her I-Pod Touch and put it inside the case and it fits perfectly.

I actually made 2 cases for her. I thought she could choose her favorite one or have them both. They were so easy to make and you know I needed to get rid of more scraps anyhow. But then she told me her boyfriend had given her an I-Phone to test out and while the phone was a bit thicker, it fit in the case too. So now she has a case for both, although I don't know if she will be keeping the phone one or not.

On the back of the case I added a loop so that she could slip in over a belt if she wears a belt. She could also attach a carabiner hook on the loop and then hook it through a belt loop or on her purse.

Scrap Bucket Cozy

I saw a book recently that showed a quilted cozy around a mason jar that held buttons and I thought why not do something like that around my fabric scrap bucket? So I essentially made my quilt-as-you-go table runner and added some elastic pony tail holders and buttons to keep the cozy in place.

Scrap bucket cozy. This is the bucket I use to put all those scraps in that I use for stuffing for the cat beds I make for a no-kill shelter.

This shows the elastic pony tail holders and buttons to keep the cozy closed and in place. I forgot to take into account the extra plastic where the handles are attached, so that's why the top 2 buttons have that stuffed into a corset look.

Twister Pinwheel

I showed my fiber arts group how to make one of these Lil' Twister style pinwheel quilts at our last meeting, and I made this small one as an example of how it is sewn and cut and put together. I used scraps of batiks and handyed fabrics for this small quilt.

Bags for Sale

I have posted a couple for bags for sale under a new tab at the top of the blog called Bags 4 Sale. Click on that tab every few days or so as I post more bags I have to sell there. Most are gently used bags that I have only used once or twice and I am selling for great prices. A few are brand new and never have been used. You cannot make a bag for as cheap as I am selling these as the materials alone would cost you more to make it. I have too many bags and I need to sell some to make room in my closet. Corny Socks



I knit these socks with a yarn called Maizy. Maizy is a yarn made from corn fibers and blended with elastic. These are really a bright royal purple color, but that color purple always photographs more of blue-purple shade. I was going to provide a link to Maisy yarn, but when I looked it up online it said this yarn was being discontinued.
