This is my first
Baker Street Bag. It is a free pattern from
Sew Sweetness. Sara of Sew Sweetness has even made a
free video tutorial for making this bag, but I have not watched it yet, as I had no problem following the pdf pattern. I did make changes though. Instead of 2 straps, I made one adjustable strap. I added an applique to the front and I added a zippered pocket on the back of the bag too.
This is a nice sized bag with a zippered top closure.

I love the straps and the extra zipper. Did you use two different patterns?
ReplyDeleteMartha your comment went to SPAM because you either are on Google+ which messes up your email or you didn't add your email to your account settings. So I am answering you here in hope that you will return. I used the Baker Street bag pattern, but I changed a couple of things on my own. I made one adjustable strap instead of the 2 on the pattern. I added a zippered pocket and put it on the back and only made one pocket inside the bag. I also appliqued a flower on the front of the bag that I got from an applique book.
DeleteThis is a very nice bag. The extra zippered pocket on the back is a great idea. I always love seeing our pulls.
ReplyDeleteSweet bag. I like the style. Cute applique. Something of which I'm not good at. May have to get the patter and try my hand at it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
have you ever followed a pattern and NOT changed something for the better?? Your bag is wonderful and the applique really sets it apart. Great job, love your handle and the extra zippers.
