I borrowed a book from a friend that had some wool felt pincushions on the cover. (Book is entitled,
Warm Fuzzies: 30 Sweet Felted Projects, by Betz White. They are made with the wool from felted sweaters and I had a lot of those around, so I had to make some of these pincushions. They are useful and cute and will make nice gifts too. I needle felted the cherry on top of the pincushions using some roving I had. I made 4 large ones and 14 small pincushions. The pins nicely glide into the pincushions too.

I needle felted the cherry to make it and needle felted it in place too. |

ReplyDeleteperhaps you can use the idea to make other things too. I'm thinking of something but not very sure of...hmmm...if you fill it up with heavy object..a paper weight maybe?

ReplyDeleteAwesome pincushions, Daryl.
ReplyDeleteFeatured today, Daryl.
DeleteI agree with the comments above. Daryl, your pincushions are adorable. Were they real cakes, they would look delicious. My favorite is the lemon and blueberry cupcake, with the thin pink line on the cup. But really, they're all beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you for participating to my Fabric, Thread and Yarn link party. Have a great weekend!
