This Chinese Dragon was adapted from a book by Eric Carle. All the fabrics are batiks, except for the background fabric and the black border. I even added tiny red rickrack all around the quilt. |
I added some sequins as an afterthought. |
The back of the quilt I used a Chinese Dragon fabric print. This fabric was the leftovers from the pajama bottoms that I made for my daughters boyfriend last year. |
A couple of buttons I added and sequins too.

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, that is so spectacular! You are one really talented lady. Of course, you should have known that mom would end up finishing it.....8-) You don't by any chance plan on making a pattern of that, do you???

Linda I couldn't answer you in an email because you are a no-reply, :0( I can't make a pattern of it because I took the dragon design from a book and there are copyright issues of course.
DeleteIt was really good of you to finish it for your daughter. It would have been a shame to have such a beautiful quilt unfinished and tucked away somewhere out of sight. Her boyfriend will be thrilled to bits with it.
ReplyDeleteWOW! WOW! Daryl this is amazing and so detailed. AWESOME mom your are to come to the rescue hee hee.. :) He is going to love it. Have a fantastic weekend, I'm out in Houston for my Stampin' Up! Leadership which is an event for us demonstrators only and so I might not get a chance to visit after today till I get back home.
