Bye Bye Love Bag

I am taking part in the Bag of the Month club and the first bag pattern that was emailed to me is called the Bye Bye Love bag and was designed by Sara of Sew Sweetness. So I made my bag as you can see below.
The front of the Bye Bye Love bag.
On the 2 front pockets I used Velcro as the closures instead of the magnetic snaps that the pattern called for and then added a button on each pocket for a decorative look. I don't know why it photographed with that waffle look to the flowers? There is no texture there.
The back of the bag .
Zippered pocket on the back of the bag.
I added a beaded zipper pull to make it easier to grab onto for zipping and unzipping.
Inside the bag are pockets. I always like to add a narrow pen/pencil pocket too.

  2. Cute bag! I like the pen pocket.....if I don't have a narrow pocket, my pen just falls over and I have to dig for it. Looking forward to the whole series of bags!

  5. You did a great job Daryl. That fabric reminds me of the 70's LOLLL it's beautiful and I love the lining fabric. I'm really looking forward to making mine but have some quilting blocks I need to finish first.

  6. Great bag. I really like the outside pockets. I also like the lining fabric; sometimes the lining can be too dark and I can't see anything inside.

  10. I'm participating as well but haven't started. I'm thinking a navy denim and I have one with some sequins on it if I can find it. Red white and blue. Yours is inspiring.

  15. Happy 2014 Daryl, I know the year has started but I'm recently back in our world "Blogland". I was enjoying your creations, I really liked the hat that you knit for your husband, I'm happy that my husband did not see it, as he would have ordered one as well for him. I love this bag, the colors and details that you always give to your bags make them unique. I wish you a good year full of inspiration and creativity. 18. Great bag. I was wondering about the waffle fabric, too bad it was just a photographic enhancement.

  19. great job, I agree that the pen or pencil pocket should be added. I see that you added the typical Daryl addition of a dangle to the zipper. Its a fun tote with the big flowers and I like the size of the pockets. both inside and out.
