Kokopelli Batik Table Runner #3

This is the 3rd table runner that I have made using the Kokopelli fabrics in the blocks and batik fabric scraps. I placed each Kokopelli block so that no matter where you are sitting or standing, that you can see the closet ones to you as right side up. I used batik scraps in a variety of colors. The first two I made sold. I saved this one to put in the Fiber Art Show at the Corrales Library for the month of January. It is for sale at the show. This was made in 2024.

Runner measures 12" x 30".

Kokopelli Scrappy Table Runner

A friend gave me a panel which consisted of all small Kokopelli squares in a  different colors. I cut out 10 Kokopelli's (2 of each color) and then sewed batik scraps around each square. I turned it into a table runner with the Kokopelli's facing into the center, so that when used as a table runner wherever you might be sitting, you will see the Kokopelli right side up.  The backing and binding is also a Kokopelli print.

Measures 12" x 30".

This is the backing and also the fabric I used for the binding.

There are a lot of Kokopelli squares in the panel, so I made a second table runner (just need to quilt and bind it) and also a purse flap for the Sew Powerful purses that I make to donate. I will write a bit of an explanation about Kokopelli to include with the notecard so that the girl receiving the purse will know who Kokopelli is.

Scrappy Trees Table Runner

I finally finished this table runner earlier this month. All I needed to do was to sew on the binding. So I got it done and took it to the craft show in mid November. It didn't sell at the show, so the following Monday I took it to a gift shop in Old Town Albuquerque where I sell some of my things, and this sold within a couple of days! Yay, I am so happy someone wanted to buy this runner.

I love creating backgrounds using my neutral fabric scraps. It is both satisfying to use up the scraps, but also looks great as a background in a quilt. The trees were also made by cutting up scraps of red and green and stacking them in a fun and wonky way. I blanket stitched around the trees and added a star button on top of each tree. I forgot to write down the measurements of this runner, but I could make another one in any measurements I decide on.

Strip-Easy Pieced Challenge: Scrappy Table Runner

The Strip-Easy Pieced Challenge is here and today I am linking up to Pieced Brain's linky. There will be lots of others linking up what they created too, so be sure to check out all of the blogs who linked up. Great way to get ideas for what to do with your scraps of fabrics.
I used mostly batik scrap strips I had in my scrap bag to create this table runner. See that one strip above that's pink and blue, I pieced it on the diagonal to make a long enough strip. I even used 2 different bias binding scraps I had leftover from other projects for the binding. Plus I also used scraps of batting that you cannot see, but I pieced those batting pieces together as well. So this is a true scrappy project, lol!!!
I used a couple of strips of fabric that I had created using stamps and stencils. The one with the bird stamp above.
Simple straight quilting in a variegated thread is what I used.
I  created this table runner just like the scrappy table runner tutorial pattern that I have for free on Craftsy. Click on the Scrappy Table Runner pattern on the side bar under my Craftsy patterns (scroll through until you see the table runner) to get to that free tutorial and you can download it from Craftsy for free. It's fast, fun and easy to make.
My hubbie wanted a table runner for the top of the computer table where our laptop, scanner and printer sit. Even though this runner is pretty covered up now, it does add a bit of color and protects the table too. He was pleased with it and so am I.
Please go and check out the other participants in the Strip-Easy Quilt Challenge at Pieced Brain. I will link mine to her link party as soon as I can, so if you don't see mine linked yet it's because we all live in different time zones and I might still be snoozing here, lol!!!! Check back to the link party often so you can see all who do link up.

Bright Hopes Quilt

Go here to Craftsy for the free pdf tutorial for this quilt.
I finally finished this quilt top, but it still needs to be quilted. I'm slower at getting them quilted. The block is called Bright Hopes and is from a book I have had for decades. I added white sashing between the blocks, however if you were to use just 5 fabrics and join them without sashing, the quilt would have a woven-look to it.
