Another flap with an appliqué house. I made several of these house flaps already as I had several house blocks made.

Sew Powerful Purses #205-206 (2025)
I had a Twister Pinwheel block I didn't use in a quilt that was leftover, so I put it on the flap and added strips of fabrics around it to make the flap the correct size. I really like how this flap looks with the pinwheel. I might just need to make some more pinwheels on purpose now 😂. Donated to Sew Powerful Purse Project.

Sew Powerful Purses #173-174 for 2025
2 Pinwheel quilt blocks for purse flaps. These 2 also fit the Spots & Dots July Challenge too on the Sew Powerful Facebook group. The challenges are just for fun. The pinwheel quilt blocks were from a freebie table at a quilt group I got over a year ago. I made them all into purse flaps for the purses I make and donate to Sew Powerful.

I like that these pinwheels were more colorful that some of the others I got from the freebie table. So I added bright strips to make them large enough for the flaps.
I love that lime green fabric and how well it goes with the purse flap colors.

Sew Powerful Purses #169-170 for 2025
July's purse theme challenge on the Sew Powerful Facebook group is dots and spots. So any polka dots or ladybug dots, leopard spots, etc. can fulfill the challenge. So since I had these done with the polka dots on the pinwheel, they will work for the challenge. I also shared the selvage flaps I posted yesterday and those selvage dots fit the challenge too.

Donated these to Sew Powerful Purse Project.

Sew Powerful Purse #153 (2025)
I made this purse flap from a stack of donated pinwheel blocks I got from a free donation table at a group a couple years ago. Each pinwheel block was in different colors. I made a few purses before using a pinwheel block, but now I am sewing more of them. I had just enough of the Flip Flops (thong sandals) print to make this one purse. It was a fun print to use and perfect for pairing with the pinwheel quilt block as both scream Summertime to me.

I needed to add a few fabric strips to make the quilt block the right size for the purse flap.
Love those flip flops!
This print is so fun and perfect for summer!

Row-by-Row Baby Quilt & Knit Baby Hat
A friend of my daughter's is due to have a baby girl in late February. I asked my daughter if anyone in her family made quilts or was a knitter and she said no. So I offered to make a quilt or knit a sweater. Lara wanted a quilt. My daughter told me Lara loves pinks and purples and Kelly green, so I decided to make a scrappy row quilt for her. I backed the quilt in flannel so it's soft. I only used scraps for the quilt top. This is the first row quilt I have ever made. I decided on the blocks that I wanted to use and made up the quilt layout.

I took advantage of the dusting of snow we got on New Year's Day to photograph this quilt outside.
I quilted it in an all over meander using a pastel variegated thread.
The back of the quilt is flannel fabric in a pink floral print.
I knit this swirl knit hat for Lara's baby. It's fuchsia, purple, green and blue yarn. It looks more purple in person because purple doesn't photograph very well.
This is the top view looking down on the hat. You can see the swirl radiating out. The pattern is free on Ravelry . It comes in several sizes from baby to adult.
