Will this turn into a pincushion or a mug rug? Check back and see what I end up doing to finish this piece. |
The flower petals of blue and red are cotton flannel that looks like wool. |
The green circles and the red ring around the center is felted wool. The yellow background is a woven wool fabric. |
Pin It Now!
What a pretty flower and beautiful stitches!
ReplyDeleteNice handwork! I'm guessing a pin cushion is in its future?
ReplyDeleteIsn't it fun to see inspiration and then to design and stitch this lovely wool flower beauty?!! I shall look forward to seeing this piece transform into the finished project. Creative Wool Bliss...
ReplyDeleteDaryl, it is so beautiful! I would not have noticed all of the delicate stitch work if it weren't for the close up photos.
ReplyDeletejust great, I love how you blended wool and flannel you can't tell the difference. the color combined with the different stitches make it seem like its moving. It looks like a fun hand project, I'm jealous of your perfect hand stitches. What ever you make with it will be great. I think the pin cushion is a better idea because you sure wouldn't want to spill tea on it.
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing

So very pretty, and what great handwork! This looks like it would look great as a candle mat or under a vase of flowers. No spilled coffee, either!
