Candy Heart Snap Pouch

I made this Candy Hearts Pouch recently, but was so busy yesterday on Valentine's Day, I forgot about sharing it. It's a pattern from Sincerely Jen. The pattern calls for you to use a non fraying material such as vinyl, cork, leather, etc. to make this pouch, but I knew I could make using cotton fabrics it if I added a seam allowance and turned it. It came out great. It is great as a coin purse. You can also add an eyelet and put a keyring in it or sew a tab with a keyring too. I just wanted to make one and see how it looked first, but will use as a coin purse for myself.

Since I made mine from cotton fabrics, I lined mine in cotton too.

These are quick to make, even in cotton fabric. They make great gifts for any holiday or birthday or just to say I Love You.

Coin Purses

I  made several coin purses in Southwest fabrics.

Sewing the frames on the purses is what takes the longest and is the most fiddly to do too.

I added a "Made with Love" charm to each coin purse.

Evelyn Bag too

I made this Evelyn bag for my friend Tara for her birthday before I had made my blue batik Evelyn bag, but I couldn't post it until I gave it to her. I also made Tara a few other little goodies that I put inside her bag too.
Tara loves Asian fabrics and other Asian things too, so I chose an Asian fabric that I have had for sometime. I didn't have enough of the fabric for the handles, so I chose an accent fabric that worked really well with the main fabric.
Back of bag with zipper.
A peek inside the bag.
I made this little coin purse too. It has a snap on the back.
I made this wallet too.
Different Asian fabrics were used for the wallet.
The cash pocket.
Credit card pockets and the cash pocket inside.

Small & Extra Large Coin Purse

Extra Large "coin purse". Not exactly for coins, but I used Madame Samm's coin purse pattern from the UR Priceless blog hop (you can find it here on Craftsy) and I enlarged the pattern it to fit the metal frame purse closure I had. The fabric I had in my collection for years and years and there was just enough of this fabric for the front and back. I used a blue fabric I hand dyed last year for the sides and it was the perfect match. I also quilted the exterior.
I chose a small gray print for the lining.
You can see both fabrics in this side view.
I made this coin purse, which is the size Madame Samm designed, in a batik fabric with another hand dyed fabric for the lining.
Batik fabric coin purse quilted with variegated thread. I made this to give to a friend.
