Wall Quilt For a Friend

A friend of mine lost her very best friend to cancer this month. Angela is having a hard time coping with her death. I made her this small wall quilt to help cheer her up.

I added embellishments such as French knots, beads, buttons and silk-like flowers.

Poppies in a Vase Quilt

Close-up of butterfly button
I finally finished this quilt. I had made the top over a year ago and just hadn't taken the time to quilt it. So finally I decided to quilt it. I cut the edges in a wavy shape and used bias binding to bind the quilt. It's done and came out nice and is hanging up now.

Appliqué Flower Quilt

I made this quilt (from book called Magic Vine by Eleanor Burns) in handyed fabrics and I appliquéd the flowers all by hand. I machine quilted and made a scalloped binding, added a few beads too. Pin It Now!
