Sew Powerful Purses # 194-196 (2025)

3 flaps with young women appliqués on them. I enlarged these 3 girls from a Tilda fabric to create an appliqué pattern so that I could make fabric appliqués to add to the flap so they filled the flap better. I added some crystal bling for earrings, and some necklaces and bling in their hair. A bit of rouge and button eyes. I used a dark fabric for their skin (Tilda girls were too light skinned). I love how these turned out! I hope the girls in Zambia love them too. Donating them to Sew Powerful Purse Project.

This necklace was made like the one above.

This necklace was a real necklace that I cut down small and stitched in place.
