I have 4 boxes full and not have started another one for decorative thread. Metallic and glittery ones. I inherited some of my grandmother's floss and she stored hers on bits of cardboard, thread spools and even old paper matchbook covers. Make do with what you have, was her motto. grammajudybhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00562284172505849145noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1219620501596758837.post-25340184904526335682013-10-29T20:16:42.523-06:002013-10-29T20:16:42.523-06:00I use the plastic cards too and store them in the ...I use the plastic cards too and store them in the biggest box for them. Last year I bought the whole collection of DMC thread colours all at once. I still have lots just sitting in a bag. I have three boxes done so far. I do like the peg idea. I read once that if you are a real perfectionist with your cross stitch that the plastic cards make kinks in the thread that show up in your stitching. I never look that close.<br />I haven't been involving myself with the blog hops. I don't like deadlines much. You may be interested to know that I found your blog by doing a search for mug rug patterns in google images. I liked a teapot pattern that was from a post about what bloggers like from about 12 months ago. Your comment was featured so I came to have a look, hoping you were still blogging. Seems you have things sorted now. Love your blog.Valspierssewshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10052294048481393185noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1219620501596758837.post-3064209739017222692013-10-29T16:25:14.049-06:002013-10-29T16:25:14.049-06:00I used to do a lot of counted cross-stitch and hav...I used to do a lot of counted cross-stitch and have a fishing tackle box that perfectly holds the floss on the plastic cards. I store my floss in small little bags. they are made to hold floss. so many times I have thread left over. enough to save. so the bags work well for me.
