This pattern is a great way to use up scraps, orphan blocks, novelty prints, and applique. You decide how you want to create the front with my directions for piecing or using a fabric. These make great gifts and don't take a lot of time (especially if you use a whole fabric and do not piece or applique).
You can make them in a theme for a loved one. The folder itself is great for holding your knitting patterns, quilt patterns and more as you make something. Hold school or office papers, important documents, or just a great folder when you need to transport papers that you don't want to get bent or wrinkled in the process.
