Sewing Tool Organizer

I made this sewing/quilting tool organizer that I hung on my door. The fabrics match the sewing machine covers I made that are posted from an earlier posting. Instead of using vinyl or plastic for the pockets, I used a mesh material. The mesh works well and allows me to see into the pockets too. The holes of this mesh are a bit too large though for small pointy objects like pens and pencils and tend to poke through the openings of the mesh. The mesh is easier to work with, like sewing, and I could pin the mesh in place too; something that you can't do with plastic or vinyl. I like being able to have some of my tools off the tables to give me more space.

  1. If you don't offer these for sale, I think you should give it some thought. That looks really handy, and so much cuter than a cheapo over-the-door shoe organizer.

  2. Very neat. Do you design it yourself?
